HopCat in Royal Oak has the most hospitable environment in town. The manager Mariel is an absolute athlete of food service- she hosts, serves, busses, food runs, and still has the time to take care of her employees and guests. The bartender Emily makes the best recommendations and is always helping me find my next favorite drink & bite! I will never stop coming here as long as these two are taken great care of! They earned it!
Went to Hop Cat Royal Oak tonight for Valentine's day and it was amazing! It was our first time there and we really enjoyed everything. Our server Billy was super friendly and helped us figure out the menu. Everything we had was delicious! Truffle fries, Caesar salad, the rodeo burger, mac and cheese, brownie, we had it all! Seriously so good and can't wait to go back! 10/10 awesome experience!

Quality is consistent and atmosphere is kid friendly. Been here many times but most recently had a experience that deserved a shout out. My wife, me and and my 2 children under 6 recently went here for lunch. Our orders accidentally got put in behind a very large group. The manager Samantha noticed kids getting antsy and brought them some apples and cookies to help. Then once she noticed our food was taking abnormally long to arrive she stepped in to help and even comped some of the bill. But what we appreciated the most was that she communicated to us what had happened and handled it quickly. Her and and our server Emily both were great and when the food did arrive it was delicious.
Went here on a Saturday night on our way out to a local drinking event and had some amazing food and excellent service. The restaurant was busy but we got seated right away and had outstanding service. The food came out fast and was delicious. The waiter keep checking on us which is a huge plus especially for a busy Saturday night. The restaurant wasn't noisy at all, especially for such a busy night. The location is perfect and has lots of parking nearby. I would definitely be back to this location. All locations have been great before as well, so make sure to give them a try.
Very impressed with this restaurant. Our server Brett was fantastic, very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and our drinks were never empty. The menu was much more diverse than I expected, highly recommend the Elote Queso app. I had a quesadilla and it was great. The prices are very reasonable for the portion size and area.

We had a chaotic party of 12 for a birthday and billy took such good care of us !!!! He’s an amazing server and was an absolute delight :) It’s rare that restaurants are able to accommodate large parties AND maintain friendly and fun service. Definitely considering having my own bday dinner here! They also were able to split it however we wanted with ease! 10/10. I recommend the marg it’s hard to find a good one ! Fries are top notch
So me and my GF went in on Saturday 4-18. Sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks and a meal. We intended to eat before a show at Ridley's. We ordered food at 530 needing to leave around 630. Food never came. We had already paid our bill wanting to leave immediately after getting food. One of the bartenders was great at explaining what happened.. She then grabbed the manager Marielle/ Muriel... Not sure of spelling. Without anyone getting upset or needing an explanation she took off the ordered food and comped much of our order. That already was kind but she went above and beyond and told us she'd love us to come back AFTER the show and give them another attempt. We did just that. Our server was Brianna and she was a rock star and super attentive and spent time talking to us. The manager came over and thanked us for coming back. We thanked her for going above and beyond with a smile on her face. She did more than she needed to. But because of her kindness we won't hesitate going back to this location. Its nice to see someone caring for customers still in this day and age! Thank you again, for all that helped us and didn't make it any more frustrating than it was. What could have been an awful experience was a fantastic experience with great service, good drinks and delicious food. Five stars!!!
This place is crazy good. I got the hangover burger and some cheese sauce for my fries (I recommend dunking ur burger in it too omghhh). The bacon has a super smokey flavor, the egg was perfectly runny, hash brown didn't get soggy, patties were cooked nice. I love the fries too, has a little sugar and balances out the salty. I went home and slept for 3 hours so if you have plans after I wouldn't recommend it 😂. Bloody Mary was good too, nice n peppery 10/10 will be back
